 Scott Gripman's passion for the mortgage industry started on September 6, 1993, in Chicago, Illinois, and has fueled his full-time dedication to the field ever since.  Over the years, Scott gained invaluable experience working with both public and private nationwide mortgage companies, learning every facet of the lending process. His journey started with marketing to potential clients, analyzing credit reports, calculating income-to-debt ratios, and selecting the best products based on loan-specific criteria. He originated hundreds of loan applications, processed numerous files, oversaw appraisal disputes, navigated underwriter conditions, and ultimately closed and funded more than 5,000 loans.

In January 1998, Scott achieved a significant milestone when he received his license to open Chicago Mortgage Corp. (Mortgage Broker). Four years later, on February 20, 2002, he founded 1st Alliance Banc Corp. (Mortgage Banker) and expanded operations across six states. In June 2014, after twenty years of marriage and raising four children, Scott and his family relocated to the “Valley of the Sun” in Phoenix, Arizona. Over the next two years, he worked with two different mortgage companies but was frustrated by their inefficient operations, poor client support, and limited mortgage options. Disappointed by these experiences, Scott decided to resign and pursue his own vision.

On June 2, 2016, Scott was licensed by the Arizona Department of Financial Institutions to open AZ Financial, LLC. Specializing in residential purchase and refinance loans, Scott is authorized to assist with single-family homes, townhouses, condos, and 1-4 unit investment properties. With a focus on helping buyers who have faced bankruptcy or other credit challenges, he offers low down payment options and competitive rates.
